Frequently asked questions — industrial pasteurizer

What is the difference between HTST and UHT pasteurization?

HTST (High Temperature Short Time) treats product at ~72 °C for 15 seconds and delivers a chilled shelf-life. UHT (Ultra High Temperature) processes at 135–150 °C for 2–5 seconds and, combined with aseptic filling, delivers ambient shelf-stability of 6–12 months.

Which pasteurizer technology is best for pulpy juice or jam?

Tubular pasteurizers are preferred for high-viscosity, fibrous and particulate products because they avoid the narrow gaps of plate exchangers. MCF engineers scraped-surface or monotube variants for jam, pomegranate juice and pulp lines.

Do you supply tunnel pasteurizers for beer and canned drinks?

Yes — MCF designs multi-zone tunnel pasteurizers with PU (Pasteurization Unit) control for bottles, cans and PET, integrated with the bottling line automation and CIP.

Are your pasteurizers certified for export markets?

Standard delivery is CE (EU). We routinely certify for EAC (EAEU), FDA/3-A Sanitary Standards (US dairy), USDA/UL where applicable, and country-specific pressure vessel codes on request.
