Frequently asked questions

Can one line fill both cans and glass jars?

Yes, with a shared filler and process section and two closing branches — seamer for tins, twist-off capper for glass. Below roughly 1,000 kg/h a single filling head with changeover parts is usually more economical than two branches.

How long is a format changeover?

Indicatively 30–60 minutes between two can sizes and 60–120 minutes between cans and glass, including recipe change and rinse. Presets and quick-release parts are what keep those figures stable in production.

What thermal treatment do 400 g cans need?

Acidified tomato paste in small tins is normally filled hot at 88–92 °C, closed, then held and cooled in a tunnel; the validated profile is issued with the plant documentation and recorded batch by batch.

Why does glass need a different profile?

Glass tolerates thermal shock poorly, so the tunnel uses gradual heating and cooling stages with tighter ΔT limits, which lowers the throughput per minute compared with tins.

Is the line suitable for sachets and doypacks?

Yes, as an additional module downstream of the same process section — typically 70 g to 1 kg sachets on a dedicated filler, sharing standardisation, pasteurization and CIP.

Which certifications come with the equipment?

CE machinery and food-contact material declarations, thermal validation report, welding and passivation certificates, plus the documentation set required for GSO, NFSA, GOEIC or other local clearances.
