Plate pasteurizers

Plate heat exchangers deliver the best thermal efficiency per m² of footprint. Best suited for low-viscosity, particle-free liquids: milk, clear juice, beer, wine.

  • Regeneration up to 95%: milk enters cold, leaves hot, product-to-product heat recovery
  • HTST cycle: 72 °C for 15 s (milk), 85 °C for 30 s (juice)
  • Compact footprint: 20 000 l/h in < 6 m²

Tubular pasteurizers

Tubular heat exchangers handle particulates up to 15 mm and viscosities up to 5 000 cP. Longer holding tubes deliver reliable UHT / ESL performance for dairy and juice with pulp.

Scraped-surface pasteurizers

For high-viscosity or fouling-prone products — tomato paste, jam, fruit preps, meat sauces — a scraped-surface heat exchanger (SSHE) continuously wipes the heating wall to prevent burn-on.

Tunnel pasteurizers

For post-fill pasteurization of bottled or canned products (beer, RTD tea, functional drinks), tunnel pasteurizers spray hot water over the containers to reach a target Pasteurization Unit (PU) count of 15–30.

What is HTST pasteurization?

High Temperature Short Time — the standard for milk (72 °C / 15 s) and juice (85 °C / 30 s). Delivers a 5-log reduction of vegetative pathogens while preserving flavor.

How do I choose between plate and tubular?

Plate for low-viscosity, particle-free liquids requiring maximum energy regeneration. Tubular for particulates, viscous products, and UHT / ESL processing.

What is F₀ and why does it matter?

F₀ is the equivalent sterilization time at 121 °C. Aseptic filling requires F₀ ≥ 5 – 6 for low-acid products; higher values are used for spore-forming risk products.
